Learner will be able to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the functions of a truck mounted loader crane
• Operate all major components
• Identify all safety features and warning devices on the crane
• Apply recognised methods for inspecting and recording the operational fitness of all components of the crane
• Operate truck mounted loader crane

Purpose of the Course:

Equip learners to demonstrate an integrated practical and theoretical grounding in Crane Operations according to safe handling and maintenance practices.

Accreditation:

This course is a TETA and DOT Accredited course and is based on SAQA Unit Standard Number 116253.

Entrance Requirements:

• Proficiency in the English Language and Math Literacy.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license relevant to the class of truck
• Shall hold the general education and training certificate (Grade 12)
• Must have a medical certificate of fitness or a declaration from the employer confirming the medical fitness or a valid PRDP
• An eye test result by a trained person to carry out such a test
• Shall wear their own personal protective equipment
