The SAQCC was issued a mandate in 1999 by the Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) to register authorised technicians operating in the fire industry.

Purpose of the Course:

To provide the trainee with the knowledge which will assist them with the interpretation and effective application of SANS 1475-1 and SANS 1475-2.

Accreditation:

Bayteck is an accredited Service Provider with SAQCC fire, who is the only authorised institution to accredit training institutions to offer Fire Fighting Equipment Technician Training. This is to ensure that the quality of the training provided to the technicians, is such that they can be deemed competent by the Training Provider for registration as an authorised person.

Duration:

Step 1: 5 day training to obtain a certificate required to register the Learner as a Trainee Technician with SAQCC Fire

Step 2: Minimum of 6 months working with a qualified technician in the Industry while completing a Logbook of required activities

Step 3: On completion of the logbook within a period of a minimum of 6 months, the EISA exam must be written to obtain a Statement of Results used to register the Trainee Technician as a Qualified Technician with SAQCC Fire
