CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) AND THE USE OF AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)

Learner will be able to:

  • Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to respond effectively during cardiac emergencies.

Purpose of the Course:

To keep the patient’s vital functions working when their heart and breathing has stopped and drastically increase the chances of survival of the patient when suffering sudden cardiac arrest.

Accreditation:

This course is an awareness course for those wishing to learn CPR and the use of an AED. It is not an accredited course but is based on the QCTO Module SP-230801.

Course Content:

  •  CPR: one man, two man
  • CPR performed on minors and children
  • The correct use of the AED
