PERSONAL FALL ARREST

The learner will be able to:

  • Have the knowledge of all fall arrest range equipment and regulations
  • Inspect, Assemble and store fall arrest equipment correctly
  • Select suitable achor points and set up fall arrest system with a double lanyard

Purpose of the Course:

To ensure persons can use fall protection systems safely and correctly to prevent injuries or fatalities from falls at height. 

Content of the Course:

  • Knowledge of the range of fall arrest equipment and regulations
  • Inspect, Assemble and store fall arrest equipment
  • Select suitable anchor points
  • Fall arrest system with double lanyard
  • Use pre-installed vertical and horizontal life-lines

Accreditation:

This course is not HWSETA accredited but is based as a short course on the SAQA Unit Standard Number 259622.

Entry Requirements:

Proficiency in the English Language.
