PERSONAL FALL ARREST
The learner will be able to:
- Have the knowledge of all fall arrest range equipment and regulations
- Inspect, Assemble and store fall arrest equipment correctly
- Select suitable achor points and set up fall arrest system with a double lanyard
Purpose of the Course:
To ensure persons can use fall protection systems safely and correctly to prevent injuries or fatalities from falls at height.
Content of the Course:
- Knowledge of the range of fall arrest equipment and regulations
- Inspect, Assemble and store fall arrest equipment
- Select suitable anchor points
- Fall arrest system with double lanyard
- Use pre-installed vertical and horizontal life-lines
Accreditation:
This course is not HWSETA accredited but is based as a short course on the SAQA Unit Standard Number 259622.
Entry Requirements:
Proficiency in the English Language.
